About the Journal

The Journal of Medico Informatics (JoMI) is a peer-reviewed (Single Blind), open access scholarly journal dedicated to advancing research at the interface of medical informatics, bioinformatics, and computational biomedical sciences. The journal provides immediate, free, and unrestricted access to all published content, ensuring the global dissemination of scientific knowledge without subscription or access barriers.

JoMI is published as a quarterly journal (4 issues per year) and is identified by eISSN: 3108-2696 (online). The journal focuses on the development and application of computational and data-driven approaches to interpret complex biological data and enhance clinical decision-making. It promotes interdisciplinary research integrating bioinformatics, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and systems biology to address emerging challenges in healthcare and biomedical sciences. The journal publishes high-quality contributions in areas including medical bioinformatics and clinical data analytics; artificial intelligence and machine learning in healthcare; clinical decision support systems and predictive modeling; microbial informatics, infectious diseases, and antimicrobial resistance; drug discovery, medicinal chemistry, and computational pharmacology; translational informatics and precision medicine; and biomedical databases, tools, and computational protocols. JoMI accepts Original Research Articles, Review Articles, Short Communications, Case Reports, Protocols, and Databases and Tools.

All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous single-blind peer-review process, in which reviewers are aware of the authors identities while authors remain unaware of the reviewers. Each manuscript is typically evaluated by at least two independent experts to ensure scientific quality, originality, and relevance. The journal is supported by an editorial board with international diversity, comprising experts from multiple countries and institutions, ensuring broad academic representation and global perspectives. JoMI adheres to the highest standards of publication ethics and follows internationally recognized best practices, including the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics. Authors retain copyright of their work, and all articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license, which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited. JoMI operates as a fully open access journal, and no Article Processing Charges (APC) are levied for submission or publication (Till December 2026). The journal aims to serve as a global platform for researchers, clinicians, and industry professionals to disseminate innovative findings that contribute to technological advancement in healthcare, ultimately benefiting patients, healthcare systems, and society at large.
