Dr. Marimuthu, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Science and Engineering, Åbo Akademi University, Turku, joins as an Assistant Editor. His expertise covers structural bioinformatics, structural biology and computational biochemistry.

POLICY
Journal policies revised to ICMJE, COPE, CSE and DOAJ standards
Our full policy set has been rewritten and expanded to follow the ICMJE Recommendations (January 2026), the COPE Core Practices, the CSE White Paper on Publication Ethics, and the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing. New policies cover clinical trial registration, allegations of misconduct, appeals and complaints, corrections and retractions, reporting guidelines, and sex and gender reporting.

ANNOUNCEMENT
Licence to Publish replaces copyright transfer
Authors now retain copyright in their work. On acceptance, authors sign a Licence to Publish granting the journal a non-exclusive right to publish and distribute the article under CC BY 4.0. Authors may deposit any version of their article in any repository, with no embargo period.

Journal content now discoverable in five services
Articles published in the Journal of Medico Informatics are registered with Crossref and indexed in OpenAlex, the ROAD directory of the ISSN International Centre, Google Scholar and Scilit. Applications to further services are in progress.
