POLICYJournal policies revised to meet ICMJE, COPE, CSE and DOAJ standards
The full policy set has been rewritten and expanded to follow the ICMJE Recommendations (January 2026), the COPE Core Practices, the CSE White Paper on Publication Ethics, and the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing. New policies cover clinical trial registration, allegations of misconduct, appeals and complaints, corrections and retractions, reporting guidelines, and sex and gender reporting.

POLICYLicence to Publish replaces the copyright transfer form
Authors now retain copyright in their work. On acceptance, authors sign a Licence to Publish granting the journal a non-exclusive right to publish and distribute the article under CC BY 4.0. Authors may deposit any version of their article in any repository, with no embargo period.
